Win some free stuff as promised
As I promised, to celebrate 10 years of CastingAround I contacted some folks that I know and got some cool giveaways.
The first one up is from Luong Tam. If you’ve never met him I’ll just tell you that Luong Tam of Tanuki Tenkara is a super nice guy. If you’ve met him you already know that.
Luong offered up one of his Brand Spankning New Ninja rods. These are not even out yet – they are due to be available in May 2019. I jumped on the Kickstarter campaign as soon as I heard about it but if you missed that you’ll be able to get them at the Tanuki Store for $239 or if you’re lucky you can win one here for free – just fill out the form below to be entered.
Luong designed the Tanuki Ninja to be especially directed at anglers that like to use tenkara rods for nymphing and dry fly fishing. You can read about in a Q&A that I did with Luong.
Contest Details
The Contest starts on March 1st and runs through the Month of March. The winner will be announced on April 2nd.
In addition CastingAround you will be able to enter to win once at Tanuki Tenkara and and once at TenkaraTalk.

Additional Rules
1. Contest will run from March 1st through March 31, 2019.
2. Winners to be chosen April 2, 2019.
3. Three Chances to win. You can enter the contest once at each website: Casting Around, Tenkara Talk and Tenkara Tanuki for three chances to win.
4. Winners are limited to one Tanuki Ninja rod.
5. A live drawing of the winners will be on Facebook and the winner of each rod will receive an email notification.
6. Drawing of Winners: CastingAround will draw a winner for Tenkara Tanuki, Tenkara Tanuki will draw a winner for Tenkara Talk and Tenkara Talk will draw a number for CastingAround.
The Tanuki Ninja Rod will be available in may (retail value $240)

I got to fish with Luong and see the ninja in action, it is wonderfully light and sensitive, who ever wins this rod will be happy they do.
I already own 3 Tanuki rods. I am now awaiting my Kickstarter Ninja. Luong is a master rodsmith, and a genuinely nice gentleman. Owning two ninja rods, would be no burden.
