I just happened upon this fly pattern and video today and I thought I’d share. I’ve never fished the Ray Charles sow bug pattern before – but I’m going to have to give it a shot. Developed for the Bighorn River, it would probably make a great sow bug or scud pattern for Pennsylvania spring creeks. As a bonus it’s super easy to tie.
