Sorry for the hiatus. I’m back. I needed to see what it felt like to not have a blog. I missed it – but I also realized, or remembered, why I started in the first place. That reason was to write. Over the last few years, I’ve gotten a little better at writing – or at least I have found it easier to express what it is that I want to say. Whether that’s good or bad is a matter of opinion. When I started I had no expectations. I am back at the beginning regarding expectations.
Soon I will return with more tenkara and fly fishing related musings – but I may also inject more variety – or more creativity into my writing. You know those potholes that get worn into boulders in the river? They start as a little depression that gathers some gravel and sand. Then that stuff swirls around and the depression gets bigger – and then after a time there’s a hole the size of a hot tub. That’s why I need to write. To get the words and ideas out of the brain so a giant hole doesn’t form in there….
Upcoming stories will include: Why Small Streams are My Favorite, Fixed-line Czech Nymphing (a rod review), a flight of fancy involving singing fish, and I think I’ll add the occasional music review…stay tuned.
Here’s a video to sum up all of this in a musical way…
