Daily Fly Fishing Poem #18: The Early Magic of Water

The month-long Daily Fy Fishing Poem experiment continues…I hope that some folks are enjoying this.  I’m finding it to be good fun, and a nice creative outlet.

Daily Fly Fishing Poem #18: The Early Magic of Water

It may be time to re-learn
the early magic of water.
Or is it too damaged?
I could hear the silence in this way,
to fish and sit in the shadow.
I used to fish at night
and the lantern would seep into the night
the catfish and I were together in the dark,
And the fish swim – and the fish are caught
the early magic of water taught,
me things, I thought.
