You&#039;ve got it spot on re: the attachment of the split-shot. I use 8lb mono, and crimp the shot to it. Tie one leg of the mono down first, then the second leg on top of it. Varnish over to make sure it&#039;s firmly secured, then start building the fly. Works a treat :)
